Our journey as a family strongly touched by ASD is certainly not unique. She is an example of a mother who has had to accept more than anybody could have expected she is nothing short of remarkable. Without her, I would not be the father I am now. Lenah came to Canada in 2012 from Botswana in southern Africa. The bravest and most heroic person I have ever known is my neurotypical wife, Lenah. It has been an interesting couple of years. Just for reference, the boys are now seven and six, and I am 47. Not to be outdone, I was diagnosed at 46 years old. His younger brother, Ethan, was diagnosed at five years old. My son Jabez was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Level 2 when he was six years old.
